In doing this I let them choose things to do or if it;s my idea/suggestion I err on the inexpensive side. No need for super pricey activities between two people who arent in it for the long term. I do this all BECAUSE I am no princess and have been on my own since I was a teenager and intend to always support my household until I retire. I have felt like the man in the relationship WAY too many times to not feel a-ok taking a few measures that swing the pendulum back the other way.
@kannf1982 you’re right, it definitely shows a guys intentions if he’s willing to spend time, effort AND money on you. Those that are just after some easy tail will keep it moving. I like a man who is comfortable in that traditional male role. It’s not for every woman or every man, but that’s what I like. And I want to marry a man who can financially take care of me and my (someday) children if need be. God I sound like a Republican. And I’m SO not.
@ Humble Bee : DITTO. Girls definitely set their own standards. I’ve had plenty of girlfriends moan about the kind of guys they date when they’re the ones picking men left and right from clubs by flirting with them for free drinks!
